This was an an amazing weekend for the boys. We returned to Santa Barbara for the second time to take home the Championship Cup. We will all remember Santa Barbara.

I would like to take a few moments of your time. I am currently coaching the San Ramon Siege U16 Boys who have just won a Premiere Tournament in Southern California, the Santa Barbara Cup 2009. It was truly a battle against some extremely well prepared teams to bring home the Santa Barbara Cup back to San Ramon for the second year in a row. It was truly an amazing weekend that these boys will remember and talk about for the rest of their life.

The San Ramon Siege did not start off this season very strong. In the first two tournaments we played in this year, we lost 5 games and allowed more than 15 goals in total. As you would expect, most teams would walk away in shame, but not the San Ramon Siege. The losses only made us stronger as a team and gave us the motivation we needed in order to become a strong competitor. We trained very hard at every training, focusing on very specific goals in order to maximize our success on the field. As a team we envisioned our success everyday which prepared us mentally for the day we walked away with the 2009 Santa Barbra Cup.

We believe that this is just the beginning success for this team and are in high belief that this Siege will continue to be successful this season. I would also like to mention that not only are the players extremely successful on the field but also in school. Majority of the players are either in AP classes, the engineering program at California High School, are going to private schools, taking leadership courses or in the honors program. It is really an amazing group of gentlemen that are well rounded on and off the field.

Myself, Pat Pawloski, San Ramon Soccer Club and all the parents are extremely proud of the San Ramon Siege for believing in themselves and bringing home the cup again.

SRS Siege U16 Boys Win Santa Barabra Tournament for the 2nd time in a row.

After a grueling and highly competitive weekend, the San Ramon Soccer Siege U16 Boys team emerged as the champions of the Premier Santa Barabra Cup Tournament in Santa Barabra with a 4 -0 record. The SRS Siege, led by Coach Derek Fox (theSoccerFox.com), navigated through a very competitive series of matches to host the trophy Sunday evening.

It was an exceptional performance by all the Siege players to secure the Santa Barbra Cup for the second year in a row.

Congratulations to Coach Derek Fox and all of the San Ramon Siege players for an outstanding performance! We look forward to their continued success this season.

San Ramon U16 Boys Tryouts Next Week, Are you Registered?

I would like to bring to everyones attention that the U16 Boys Tryouts begins next week. Our goal as a club is to create two D1 teams in 2010, which all depends on the players we can get to tryouts. I would like to invite those that have not signed up to do so immediately at http://www.sanramonsoccer.org/event_detail.aspx?id=40. There is no cost to participate in tryouts.

HELP SPREAD THE WORD – Would you please forward this email to any u15 or u16 boys that you feel would be a good match for a competitive soccer team. It could either be a player from a lower division or club. Lets use the power to viral marketing to make a great tryout. This is a very strong age group and would like to see it to continue to grow.
